Buying or Selling A Home During the Holidays

Moving during the holidays can be a challenge! There is always something going on with activities and obligations. Buying or Selling during the holidays can be equally rewarding to both buyers and sellers.

1.     Less Competition -  There is typically less listings available for sale during the holiday time. Most sellers are motivated. Buyers tend to put off purchasing during the holidays but those who are still looking are motivated.  Buyers & Sellers can negotiate a win-win in terms of the deal.

2.     Leverage the holiday spirit – Sellers can make their house comfy and cozy with decorations -  just don’t go overboard! A big part of the real estate transaction is emotional. Buyers can really picture themselves in the house that is decorated.

3.     Faster closings – With less buyers and sellers, the real estate transaction could move quickly through the process.

4.     Potential tax benefit – There could be a tax benefit to buyers purchasing before the end of the year.

5.     Low Interest rates -  Current interest rates are at an ALL TIME LOW!

Both buyers and sellers can benefit with selling or buying homes during the holidays as both are very motivated.
